How do you fix an Xbox that is not turning on?
If your xbox is not turning on it could be multiple issues, but we'll walk you through some steps to bring it back to life.
Try resetting your internal power supply unit:
- Unplug the power cord from the console.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Plug the cord back into the console, and then press the Xbox button on the front of the console.

How do I force restart my Xbox?
There is a way to force your XBOX to shut down by doing the following:
- Try pressing and holding the power button on the front of the console down for 10 seconds, releasing it only after the device shuts down. You should hear the device power off.
- Disconnect the power cable and wait for an additional 10 seconds, then reconnect the power and turn the console back on.

How do I know if my external power supply has gone bad?
Xbox makes this issue easy! All Xbox power bricks have a light on them to let you know if they are receiving electrical current. A solid orange or white light indicates the power supply is working properly. If there is no light or it flickers, it needs to be replaced.
Why is my Xbox turning on but the screen is black?

- Unplug All connections, and plug back in using the following order: HDMI from console to TV, TV power cable, Console to power.
- Turn your TV on.
- Turn your Console on.
